ABOUT HUSK

Jennifer Bresnahan

General Manager

J-BresnahanBorn in Lafayette, Indiana, and raised in Speedway, a suburb just outside of Indianapolis, Jennifer Bresnahan started on a much different path from where she is today. After graduating high school in North Carolina, she attended College of Charleston to study Sports Medicine. With experience as a lifeguard and swim coach, she looked for jobs in the Charleston area and realized pool jobs were not in high demand near the beach. Instead, she took notice of Charleston’s thriving restaurant scene and took a hostess job at A.W. Shuck’s. And so her restaurant journey began.

Bresnahan continued to work in restaurants throughout college. By the time she started the application process for medical school, she had fallen in love with the restaurant industry and reevaluated her goals. She set out to broaden her experience, working in both casual and fine dining restaurants as a server, and bartending at a busy college bar and a luxury hotel bar. From there, she worked as a server at Hank’s Seafood for several years before joining the Neighborhood Dining Group family as a server at Husk.

In the spring of 2014, Bresnahan was promoted to General Manager of Husk Charleston. Jennifer is honored to be a part of the Husk and NDG team, as well as a part of Charleston’s incredible restaurant landscape. When not at Husk, Jennifer loves enjoying a good book on the beach, gardening and planning her next trip – usually centered around where she wants to eat.

Husk Charleston is Now Open!

Please visit Open Table to book your table.  Reservations are recommended and preferred; however, we may have limited availability for walk-in diners as well.

The Neighborhood Dining Group and Husk Charleston are committed to the safety of our staff, guests and community. We will provide the highest standard of cleanliness and service. It is imperative that we offer a safe place for you to dine, and our teams to work. OUR TEAM WILL: wear face masks at all times, have their temperature and health checked upon arrival, wash their hands with frequency, disinfect surfaces after every use, and perform a nightly deep cleaning of the restaurant. OUR RESTAURANT WILL: be laid out with social distancing and directional parameters in mind, maintain a 6-foot minimum distance between tables, have a maximum of 8 guests per table, provide sanitizing areas for guest use, and provide single-use menus and products to protect all of us.  OUR GUESTS are required to wear masks at this time in all public places throughout the restaurant.  Once at your table, actively eating and drinking, your mask may be removed.  We appreciate your consideration for others at this time.
